The Sun Inn restaurant and bar in Kirkby Lonsdale is mad about food. You can dine in the bar from our all day menu which features many of our award winning dishes or you can choose to eat in the restaurant which is small and intimate. Service is professional from very friendly staff and there’s a great selection of wine from around the world.

Our Meat, Fishes, Loaves & Dishes are starter size portions and are served all day from 12.00pm – 10.00pm (4.00pm-10.00pm on Monday)

Lunch is served Tuesday to Sunday from 12.00-6.00 pm and dinner is served every evening from 6.30pm-9.00pm.

We have been awarded an AA rosette to recognise our excellent restaurant that stands out in Cumbria, using good quality local ingredients, prepared with care, understanding and skill.

To create our restaurant menu we search out the seasonal treats and choose high quality local produce from local suppliers in Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire. Our restaurant menu changes monthly to ensure it is in tune with the seasons. Fish, meat and vegetables are delivered each day and we are happy to accommodate any special requests with just 24 hours notice.

For our bed and breakfast guests Dales Butchers, next door but one on Market Street in Kirkby Lonsdale, provide sizzling award winning sausages and freshly sliced bacon combined with free range eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms cooked in butter to create a high quality cooked breakfast to compliment our home made granola, fresh yohurt, cereals, fruit, croissants and juices.
