Kirkby Lonsdale is ideally located for visiting the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. The Sun Inn is also a very conveniently situated as a stop off on the way to or from Scotland, being just a few minutes from the M6.
Getting Here
Directions by Car:
From the M6:
- Take junction 36 and travel along the A65, following signs for Kirkby Lonsdale.
- After 8 km (5 miles) take the left turn signposted for Kirkby Lonsdale Town Centre.
- Go down the road to the junction and then go straight ahead down the hill.
- At the bottom turn right and the Sun Inn is on your left hand side.
Parking
All parking in the centre of Kirkby Lonsdale is in the public car park or street parking, both just 3 minutes walk away from the inn. The nearest mainlane train station is Oxenholme Lake District at Kendal, this is 15 minutes taxi ride away.
