The sun (nearly) always shines on the Sun Inn
September is just around the corner, which means summer is almost at an end – but what a lovely summer it has been!
We’ve enjoyed many days of gorgeous sunshine in Kirkby Lonsdale. There’s nothing better than wandering around our lovely market town and enjoying the glorious sights, sounds and smells of summer.
Our head pooch, Charlie the Labrador, has been busy welcoming guests (both two-legged and four-legged) to the Sun Inn.
The furry guests have especially enjoyed using our dog shower outside to cool off after a walk in the sunshine.
The less furry guests have been able to relax and soak up the sun sitting at our new outdoor tables. We also recently introduced special summer cocktails and small bites to nibble on, which have proven popular after a nice walk and wander around the town.
Head chef at the Sun Inn, Joe Robinson, has been busy as ever experimenting with seasonal ingredients and delicious flavour combinations. His gin cured salmon dish was particularly popular!
We’ve welcomed many guests enjoying a ‘staycation’ this year – opting to enjoy everything the UK has to offer instead of heading abroad. We can certainly understand the appeal, especially thanks to Kirkby Lonsdale’s unique position on the boundaries of Cumbria, Lancashire and Yorkshire.
On the plus-side, if you haven’t yet booked a staycation for yourself, our two summer offers are still running until early September. You could enjoy 15% off and a free bottle of wine (available until Thursday 5th September). Or a Sunday night stay with a three-course dinner, bed and breakfast from just £150 (available until Sunday 8th September). Take a look at our promotions page for more information.
We hope that you enjoyed a superb summer too. If you didn’t get a chance to visit us while the sun was shining, then be sure to pop along in the autumn when the roaring fire in our cosy bar is certain to keep you nice and warm.
