Paws for Thought – Our next charity dog walk is on Sunday 17th March

By Charlie Black, head pooch at the Sun Inn

I have some news that is certain to get those tails wagging…

The date has now been confirmed for our third guided dog walk in aid of Animal Rescue Cumbria!

The walk will take place on Sunday 17th March and we’re keeping our fingers crossed for sunshine (although it’ll still be a great day for all even if it rains!)

For £12.50 per adult, you will enjoy a lovely 2-3 hour walk in and around Kirkby Lonsdale. We’ll meet at the Sun Inn at 9:45am for bacon sandwiches, tea and coffee – the perfect set-up before our walk! Of course, delicious dog biscuits and fresh water will also be available for us four-legged companions.

The walk will be led again by the brilliant Loren Cafferty, and older children and dogs are most welcome. As the weather can be a little unpredictable this time of year, please wear suitable footwear and bring waterproofs and water.

If you would like to finish your walk with a well-earned Sunday lunch, we will treat you to a complimentary glass of wine with your meal. If you are bringing your furry friend along with you, then you can enjoy your Sunday roast with your companion by your side thanks to our dog-friendly dining room. And if you want to treat them to a yummy post-walk snack, our homemade and wheat-free dog biscuits are available in two different shapes – bones (£2.50) and Labradors (£1.50).  For every biscuit sold, we donate a percentage to Animal Rescue Cumbria.

This is now our third guided dog walk for charity – you can find out more about the previous events here and here

Come rain or shine, they’re always thoroughly enjoyable events and a really lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Call Hannah, Harvey or Janine on 015242 71965 to reserve your place and to book a table for Sunday lunch. Full payment for the Walk is required on booking (it is non-refundable as we have payment to the guide and charity to consider).

Hope to see you there!
