The sun shone on our wonderful winter walk for Animal Rescue Cumbria
Stunning scenery and wagging tails aplenty set the scene for our guided walk in aid of Animal Rescue Cumbria.
We fuelled up for the walk with delicious bacon butties and tea & coffee at the Sun Inn (and plenty of scrumptious treats for our four-legged friends in the group, of course!)
Our fantastic guide, Loren Cafferty, gave an introduction and overview of the route, before we wrapped up warm and gathered for a quick photograph before setting off.
Crisp winter temperatures and beautiful blue skies were the backdrop for the lovely route, which took us through Kirkby Lonsdale and up to the charming village of Whittington, before we looped back down through High Biggins.
The gorgeous route was just under 10 kilometres in total and was incredibly dog-friendly, with all the happy pooches in our group enjoying time off the lead to run around and play together.
The sun didn’t stop shining the whole way round, and many of the group enjoyed a well-earned Sunday roast when we arrived back in Kirkby at midday.
We think it was the perfect way to spend a Sunday and raise money for a superb cause at the same time, and we’re already looking forward to planning the next one!
